What we collect

When you check out we collect contact name, laboratory or institution, email, phone (optional), delivery address, postcode, order lines, and any notes you type. When you use the contact form we collect name, email, institution (optional) and your message. The cart is stored in your browser (local storage), not on our servers, until you submit an order. If you create an account we store your email and a hashed password (or Google / X identity) so you can see those orders on other devices. We email a login link to the address you used at checkout.

Why we use it

We use this information to fulfil research-chemical orders, take payment, send order correspondence, answer enquiries, and keep records we are required to keep. The legal bases are contract (to supply what you ordered) and legitimate interests (to run a UK laboratory-supply business and prevent misuse). We do not use your data for medical profiling. Orders are for laboratory materials, not healthcare.

Who we share it with

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Order and contact notifications may be delivered through our email provider (including FormSubmit or Resend if configured). Couriers receive the name and address needed to deliver the parcel. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as needed for tax, accounting and batch-traceability (typically six years). Enquiry emails are kept while the conversation is active and a short period afterwards. You can ask us to delete data that we are not legally required to retain.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Email sales@solentpeptides.co.uk to exercise a right.
