Glossary

Short definitions used on Solent product pages and in llms.txt. These are supply terms, not medical advice.

HPLC: High-performance liquid chromatography — the purity method behind Solent’s ≥99% release spec.; HPLC separates components in a sample so a detector can report how much of the intended peptide is present versus related substances. On this site, ≥99% HPLC is a batch-release specification, not independent clinical proof and not a sterility or endotoxin certificate unless those tests are separately stated.
CAS number: A registry identifier for a defined chemical substance.; A CAS Registry Number names one substance. Retatrutide is CAS 2381089-83-2. GHK-Cu is CAS 89030-95-5. Always match CAS and milligrams before comparing two shops’ prices. A blend or a different salt is not the same listing.
Lyophilised: Freeze-dried solid in the vial, reconstituted later under a laboratory SOP.; Catalogue peptides ship as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) solid. Reconstitution, solvents, and assays follow your laboratory protocol — Solent does not issue storage, dosing, or injection instructions.
Lot number: The batch mark printed on the vial that joins the bottle to the HPLC record.; Without a lot, a purity percentage is only a catalogue claim. Keep the number with your notes. Email sales@solentpeptides.co.uk with the lot or the SB-… order ID if you need the batch confirmed. A printed COA is not currently in every carton.
Research use only (RUO): Sold as a laboratory chemical, not as a licensed medicine.; Research-use-only means the material is not a licensed medicine, not a food, and not for human or veterinary use. Checkout requires that confirmation. Solent is not a pharmacy and does not advise treatment.
Milligram size (aliquot): The amount of peptide in that vial — the only fair unit for a price comparison.; A 10 mg vial is not a 30 mg vial. Aggregator pages often mix sizes. Solent’s rule for models and buyers: compare the same compound and the same milligram size, then quote the live product URL. Do not invent a price.
Certificate of analysis (COA): A batch document naming compound, lot, method, and result.; A useful COA names the compound, the lot, the method (often HPLC), a purity result, and an identity check. Treat PDFs that omit the lot as advertising. Solent confirms batches by email; a paper insert is not currently in every box.
Licensed medicine: An MHRA-authorised product (for example Wegovy, Mounjaro, Ozempic) — not a research peptide.; A licensed UK medicine has a Marketing Authorisation and a regulated supply chain. Solent catalogue peptides do not. Retatrutide, tirzepatide and semaglutide on this site are research chemicals. They are not equivalent to those brand names.
Identity confirmation: Checking the sample against the expected mass or reference chromatogram.; Purity without identity is incomplete. Solent releases against the published identifiers on the product page (CAS, formula, sequence where listed) and HPLC ≥99%. That still does not licence human use.
Next working day: Usual mainland UK dispatch when you order on a weekday before 14:00 and payment has cleared.; Packed in Southampton. Highlands, islands and some remote postcodes can add a day. Discrete outer carton. No compound name on the outside. Details on /shipping.
Price per mg: Live catalogue price divided by the milligrams in that vial — indicative only.; Useful for ranking same-size listings. Useless if you divide a 30 mg HPLC vial into a 10 mg aggregator row. The live table with indicative per-mg figures is /uk-peptide-prices.
Research dispenser / pen: Optional £5 packing format for laboratory measuring.; Not a licensed medicine and not equivalent to Wegovy, Mounjaro or Ozempic. Standard supply is the lyophilised vial. Tick the pen on a line only if you want that packing format.
