What is HPLC peptide testing?

How high-performance liquid chromatography is used to report peptide purity, what ≥99% HPLC means, and what it does not prove.

What HPLC measures

High-performance liquid chromatography separates components in a sample so a detector can report how much of the intended peptide is present relative to related substances. A ≥99% HPLC figure on this site is a batch-release specification: the lot was checked against that threshold before packing. It is not a clinical trial and not a sterility or endotoxin certificate unless those tests are separately stated.

How to read it on a Solent vial

Match the lot number on the vial to your order. Identity (CAS, formula, sequence where published) is on the product page. If you need the batch record for a paid order, email sales@solentpeptides.co.uk with the order ID or the lot. We are not currently enclosing a paper certificate in every carton.

What HPLC does not tell you

Purity is not potency in a biological assay, not a licence to use the material in humans, and not proof that two shops’ 99% figures were generated with the same method. Compare identity first, then documentation, then price.
