How to read a peptide certificate of analysis

What a peptide COA usually contains, how to match it to a lot number, and how Solent handles batch questions when a paper insert is not in the box.

Typical COA fields

A useful certificate names the compound, the lot, the method (often HPLC), a purity result, and an identity check (mass or a reference chromatogram). Treat marketing PDFs that omit the lot as advertising, not batch records.

Matching the bottle

The lot on the vial is the join between the chemical you received and the record. Quote that lot, or the Solent order ID (SB-…), when you email sales@solentpeptides.co.uk. We confirm batches we packed. We do not document vials we did not supply.

Paper in the box

Solent is not currently enclosing a printed certificate in every carton. That is a packing fact, not a claim that lots are untested. HPLC ≥99% remains the catalogue release spec. Ask if your protocol requires a file before you start work.
